Our strength is in our unity.
Dear Moadon Kol Chadash Community,
We hope everybody is well and safe. Thank you for your continued support of our teachers and staff through your thoughtful emails and calls. Our continued commitment to navigate this unprecedented and fast-moving crisis is unwavering. Moadon Kol Chadash remains committed to doing the right thing and we are working non-stop behind-the-scenes to secure our future.
We are grateful to our teachers for working so quickly to create and implement meaningful online sessions and other content earmarked for all of our students, and we are excited to launch sessions targeted to Kesher@Moadon on Tuesday. Our goal is to allow all of our children to remain engaged and connected to their education, teachers, and classmates, while at the same time providing parents some reprieve. We plan to continue these sessions for as long as we can.
Moadon Kol Chadash–with Gan Gani and Kesher– is a small, but mighty force in our community. As an organization, we are strong, compassionate, and pragmatic. We take tremendous pride in our distinctive approach to both Jewish preschool and after-school education, such as focusing on Hebrew language acquisition (so critical to brain development in early years), experiential learning in an informal setting, and for the older students, individualized b’nai mitzvah preparation– all of which are truly unique to us.
Now more than ever, we need you– to help us to continue to pay our teachers and staff, maintain our school, and be ready for your children when we re-open.
As you know, our tuition only covers 75% of our expenses, with the balance made up through fundraising– the model by which all nonprofits run. Due to the current COVID-19 closure, we are experiencing significant revenue losses across all levels of our business, including, but not limited to, cancellation of our annual fundraiser and outside events scheduled to be hosted in our venue. With your support, you can help us ensure the future of our programs.
We have an immediate need to raise an average of $1,000 per family. We realize this amount may be beyond the capability of some, but hopefully, some of you have the capacity to give more–and we are grateful for every gift, and gifts are 100% tax deductible. Can we count on you?
Moadon Kol Chadash belongs to all of us. Thank you for your commitment. We look forward to seeing you as soon as possible.
Be safe and be well,
The Moadon Kol Chadash Board of Directors
